The Nonwovens Division have been manufacturing lightweight, noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) materials for the automotive industry for over a decade.
We have the capabilities to carry out acoustic characterisation of our NVH materials, using state of the art acoustic facilities which include acoustic impedance tubes, reverberation/anechoic chambers, airflow resistivity device and porosimeter apparatus.
With access to the worlds fibre suppliers, the Nonwovens Division has no boundaries when it comes to material choices, including synthetics, recycled synthetics and natural biodegradable fibres.
With the growing trend for the automotive industry to create materials which consider the impact on our environment, the John Cotton Nonwovens Division has several material options which fit this trend, including natural biodegradable materials such as hemp, flax and jute, or fibres made from recycled plastic waste such as bottles.
